I get an "Object not set to an instance of an Object" error in ProVision
- If while working in ProVision you start getting a message popping up that says “Object not set to an instance of an Object” do the following.
- Close ProVision.
- Click on Start, ProVision, Shared ProVision Folder.
- You should now see a Common Folder.
- If you do not see the Common Folder then click on Start, ProVision, Private ProVision Folder.
- Once you see the Common Folder, Double Click it.
- Now delete four files.
- DeviceTree.xml, DeviceTreeExpand.xml, Dockmanagerconfig.xml & Menu.xml.
- You can now restart Provision and the Error should be gone.
In ProVision, my Explorer / Devices menu has disappeared
If you are in ProVision and one of your Menu’s / Display’s disappear do the following.
- Click on the View Menu.
- Find the Menu you are looking for.
- If there is a Check Mark then Uncheck the Menu and then repeat the steps and recheck the Menu. This will put the Menu back to its default location.
How can I e-mail data files from ProVision?
To email files using Outlook, follow these steps:
- In ProVision's Explorer window, under the "Data File Sources" node, right-click the "Recent Downloads" node.
- Select "Open in Explorer" from the pop-up menu.
- Right-click the file you wish to email.
- Select "Send to" from the pop-up menu.
- Select "Mail Recipient." This will create a new email message with this file as an attachment.
Is my data deleted when I re-initialize my recorder?
- Data from previous recordings remains in the recorder, even after reinitalization, until the next two-minute countdown.
How do I view existing WinScan data in ProVision?
- In ProVision, select the "File" menu, then the "Import" option.
- Browse to the directory containing your WinScan files.
- Highlight the folder and click OK.
- When asked to add this folder recursively, click "Yes".
- After the import process completes, the data can be accessed under the "Imported Files" node in ProVision's Explorer window.
How can I view the Max, Min or Ave plot in a recording?
- From the Tools menu, choose "Select Plots".
- Select the plot you wish to view. To make multiple selections, hold down the Control key.
- Click OK.
